Bear Hug

I remeber the first time I tried to give you a big bear hug and you freaked out because I was trying to hurt you. It made me think what did your previous owner do to you to make you so scared. After a while you finally allowed me to bear hug. It always started out as a struggle, but once you realized I was just giving you a hug you would calm down and embrace the hug. I miss you and the bear hugs

When we first got Holly she was very skiddish and was apprensive about a lot of things. If you were playing with her and threw your hands up she would cower in fear that you would hit her. Holly also would never bark because she feared being hit as this is what happened to her with her previous owners. After two years of owning her she barked and it was a playful bark. I remeber I was so happy when she barked. It made me feel like she finally trusted us. Most people would be annoyed when their dog barks, but I loved it because it showed the progress Holly was making.
